If you have served federal active duty in the United States Armed Forces since December 7, 1941, and have been honorably discharged or are still serving - you are eligible for membership in The American Legion!
*Because eligibility dates remain open, all active duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces are eligible to join The American Legion at this time, until the date of the end of hostilities as determined by the government of the United States.
**2021 Membership investment is $56. Your Executive Board voted to increase membership dues, which has not been done for at least five years, by $6 to help our Post cover the increasing expenses for our operation**
Drop off or Mail a copy of your DD-214 (black out your SS#) with your American Legion application and $56 membership investment to the attention of Post 2 Adjutant. Not submitting your $56, your copy of the DD-214 and any incomplete applications will delay processing of your membership.
If you need a copy of your DD-214, click here for the National Personnel Records Center.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Post #2 Adjutant, Clarissa Conolley at 712-314-9262 or firstname.lastname@example.org
